networking - What is Generic* disabled

While using wifi as hotspot,it worked well for few hours but later it stopped.I started restarting the network-manager by typing the command :-

sudo systemctl restart network

It said,

Unit network.service not found

and when I typed the command :-

sudo lshw -c network
