gnome - Getting error while running this command sudo apt-get install curl git-core

After running the command to install ruby sudo apt-get install curl git-core

I am getting an error-

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource
temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration
directory (/var/lib/dpkg/)

, is another process using it?
Please tell me the solution for it..
