Guys i'm really stuck.
This morning when I turned on my computer my ubuntu was stuck at
dev/sda1: clean, 552599/6111232 files, 7119295/24414464 blocks
I looked around and I saw this post : "dev/sda1: clean, ..." This message appears after I startup my laptop, then it won't continue booting
Since I was messing around with AWS instances and had to reinstall nvdia drivers after they pushed through an update I thought it would be related and proceeded to run
sudo apt-get purge nvidia*
and rebooted. Then it was still stuck at boot with this message
//something here but I cant remember what it was
PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key
PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key
PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key
PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key
something like that. So then I saw this post
PKCS Signature error/warnings running dmesg on Ubuntu Mate 18.04
so I ctrl alt f7 into terminal but the terminal doesn't load. Then I manually reboot my computer and then I just get a black screen where bios doesn't even load.
THen I think it might be because bios is loading graphics from my PCI so I take out my GPU and reboot again but still getting a black screen. Then following gut feeling I unplug my SSD containing my ubuntu 18 os, drain my motherboard, this time BIOS shows up and I reset it so it uses IGD to load graphics. I replug my SSD (but not the gpu) and reboot. From then on it just gives me a black screen. After waiting an extrememly long time (around 5 mins ish) the bios finally comes up and after awhile it just says "Reboot and Select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.
Is there anyway to fix this? Im guessing apt-get purge nvidia* messed with something critical in the os.
Below picture shows what was uninstalled with apt-get purge nvidia*
